Tony Ooki joins forces with Taiwan’s 88 Balaz and others tomorrow at Legacy Taipei.

Legacy Taipei hosts top Taiwanese pop performers and international acts. Tomorrow, Japanese pornographic actor and entertainer Tony Ooki plays with Taiwan’s garage rock favorites 88 Balaz (88 顆芭樂籽), hip-hopsters and activists Kou Chou Ching (拷秋勤) and post-rock group Kishikan (既視感).

Tomorrow’s spotlight is on Japanese rock band Straightener at The Wall (這牆), Taipei’s most prominent venue for indie rock artists. Chinese folk musician Ma Di (馬?) arrives on Wednesday, and it is rock act Acidman from Japan on Thursday.

Indie rockers Frusciante (佛香甜), No Promise and new metal/post-hardcore act Way of Puzzle (謎路人) congregate at indie rock club Revolver tonight. Five young DJs, including Corey, Yuen and Victor, take to the decks tomorrow. It is live music with rock groups Fist Pump Underground (地下起義), Pale Raven (蒼鴉) and ClueZ (線索) on Sunday.

Tomorrow’s lineup at Pipe Live Music, a main venue for indie music and parties, is formed by pop rockers The Slim Cigarettes (涼煙樂團), hard rock/metal outfit General Sky and Underway, which fuses rock, nu-metal and hip-hop. Later the same night, the venue hosts the latest edition of Spaces, a psychedelic party featuring DJs Daren, 26D Koala and LSD Michael.

Tonight, Roxy celebrates its 34th birthday at The Park (公園展演空間), the latest installment of the Roxy enterprise, with an exciting lineup of local bands such as garage/shoegaze outfit Skip Skip Ben Ben, electronic act Sonic Deadhorse (音速死馬), Mr Loud Who Chance (三十萬年老虎鉗) and Taiwanese nakashi rockers The Clippers (夾子電動大樂隊).
