Corruption is the greatest threat to Taiwan. It undermines the social and economic well-being of a nation.
The KMT can be blamed for its past corruption. But like the KMT, the DPP has failed to run a clean government.
The legislature is no better. But hopefully, the judicial system is.
Otherwise, Taiwan may have to change its official title from the "Republic of China" to the "Republic of Corruption." At least it wouldn't have to change the abbreviation.

On Sunday, 13 new urgent care centers (UCC) officially began operations across the six special municipalities. The central bank has launched a redesign of the New Taiwan dollar banknotes, prompting questions from Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) legislators — “Are we not promoting digital payments? Why spend NT$5 billion on a redesign?” Many assume that cash will disappear in the digital age, but they forget that it represents the ultimate trust in the system.
