Yangmingshan National Park authorities yesterday urged visitors to respect public spaces and obey the law after a couple was caught on a camera livestream having sex at the park’s Qingtiangang (擎天崗) earlier in the day.
The Shilin Police Precinct in Taipei said it has identified a suspect and his vehicle registration number, and would summon him for questioning.
The case would be handled in accordance with public indecency charges, it added.

The couple entered the park at about 11pm on Thursday and began fooling around by 1am yesterday, the police said, adding that the two were unaware of the park’s all-day live monitoring system, which is linked to YouTube so that animal watchers could tune in at any time.
The Yangmingshan National Park Administration Office said the video has been taken down and warned people who kept a copy of the footage that redistributing would contravene the Criminal Code or the Social Order Maintenance Act (社會秩序維護法).
Police said the man might be charged with contravening the Criminal Code, and if found guilty, he could face a one-year prison term and a NT$9,000 fine.
The Yangmingshan National Park Administration Office said the park is a public area that allows people to be closer to nature and reminded visitors to always be on guard for wildlife.
Park visitors should respect nature and others, the office said, and warned the public not to behave in ways that would affect ecology and the environment, or would cause distress.
