Police have arrested a suspect after a couple was stabbed to death in their home in Kaohsiung’s Lingya District (苓雅區) Friday morning.
The suspect, a 63-year-old man surnamed Wu (吳), is alleged to have entered the home of upstairs neighbors – a couple surnamed Lo (羅) – early Friday morning following a dispute over noise, and then stabbed the couple to death, the Kaohsiung City Police Department said.

Police were alerted after the Los minor children found their parents dead, and called the building’s management office, it said.
Police then tracked Wu using surveillance cameras, and followed him as he fled south on a motorcycle to Linhai Rd in Pingtung County’s Fangliao Township (枋寮鄉) where he was arrested, it said. During questioning, Wu told police that he had discarded the murder weapon and the clothes he was wearing during the murder, it said.
Paramedics who arrived on scene said the 36-year-old father, and the 35-year-old mother, had no vital signs, and were rushed to hospital where they were pronounced dead, it said.
The city’s Social Affairs Bureau said the two children have been placed with relatives.
