ˇ I must remember to finish my report by Friday.
Photo: AdobeStock l 圖片:AdobeStock
χ I must remember finishing my report by Friday.
I remember meeting him somewhere.(我記得曾經在某處見過他。)
I must remember to meet him at the station at six this evening.
He remembered turning off the light when he left the room.
Remember to turn off the light when you leave the room.
ˇ He reminded her to do her job.
χ He reminded her of doing her job.
註︰remind ... of ...
He reminded me of my attending the lecture last Friday.
He reminded me to attend the lecture this afternoon.
ˇ He is beginning to study for his exams.
ˇ He has begun to study for his exams.
χ He is beginning studying for his exams.
He began to study for his exams. = He began studying for his exams.。
ˇ Tell him not to do it.
χ Tell him don’t do it.
ˇ As soon as the guests got off the bus, we hurried over to help carry their bags.
χ As soon as the guests got off the bus, we hurried over, carrying their bags.

Prompted by military threats from Russia, Denmark has recently passed a new conscription law, officially including women in its military draft for the first time. From July 1, 2025, Danish women, upon turning 18, will be entered into the draft lottery. If selected, they are to serve in the military for 11 months, just as men do. Not only has this decision attracted international attention, but it has also sparked discussions on gender, equality and national defense. Although Denmark’s reform appears to promote gender equality, it primarily responds to regional instability and the need to strengthen national defense. With
