On Tuesday, Huang said that Soong had accepted a political donation of NT$3 million from him in 1994, and that Soong was a politician who would keep his promises to do favors to his contributors.

Soong also asked the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) to instruct its supporters to accept the result of the presidential election to prevent riots.
