Lin Chen-hsien, a graduate from Dayeh University’s Department of Business Administration, has become well known for establishing the drippp condom brand. On Monday last week he returned to his alma mater to share his entrepreneurial experience with current students.
Lin, who is 31 this year, found that quality of the condoms sold in his family-run motel were inconsistent, and the idea came to him that there might be a business opportunity to be had through creative marketing. He recalls that when he was starting out people always looked askance at him, but he felt that selling condoms was nothing to be ashamed of, because of the philanthropic side of his business.
Lin says he often visited pharmacies’ condom sections to find out about the condom brands on the market. If he had any questions, he would seek advice from the mostly female counter clerks, who sometimes took him for a sex maniac.

Lin employs an online platform for marketing and uses a lively and humorous approach to win the hearts of the young generation and prompt youngsters to learn correct attitudes and a safe approach to sex. For each pack of condoms his firm sells or gives away, it donates NT$1 to the Taiwan AIDS Foundation for propagating AIDS prevention. Lin’s aim is to help young people avoid catching sexually transmitted diseases or having abortions. He says that by running his condom business based on the concept of health, rather than putting profit first, his firm has in fact created a hard-to-find business opportunity.

私立大葉大學企業管理系畢業的林辰憲自創保險套品牌「滴牌drippp」而成名。上週一他回到母校和學弟妹分享創業經驗。
現年三十一歲的林辰憲家中經營汽車旅館,發現保險套品質參差不齊,認為用創意行銷能找出商機。他說,剛開始投入時外人總是投以異樣眼光,但賣保險套不可恥,因這是功德事業。

他說,為了解市面品牌,他經常到藥妝店保險套專櫃找答案,遇到問題便問專櫃小姐,有時問到小姐把他當作「變態痴漢」。
他靠著網路平台行銷,以活潑搞笑的方式贏得年輕族群的心,帶動青少年正確安全的性教育,且以每售出或送出一盒保險套,捐出一元給紅絲帶基金會當作愛滋防治宣導基金,希望有效防治性病低齡化與墮胎憾事的發生。他說,用健康的保險套經營理念,而不是以「獲利至上」,反而創造出難得的商機。
