A : I just saw news online saying people in Taipei don’t have to go work this afternoon due to the torrential rains.

B : Really? Wow. It sure is nice to get an extra half-day off.

A : But do you think the boss will let us have the day off?

B : I don’t know. Hopefully he’ll show us some mercy.

A : 我剛看網路新聞，因雨勢太大，台北市宣布今天下午不用上班！

B : 真的嗎？哇，賺到半天假真好！

A : 可是，你覺得老闆會讓我們放假回家嗎？

B : 不知道耶，希望他大發慈悲。
