Adventure on the slope 滑雪驚魂
“This is amazing!” said Kathleen as she set eyes on the snow-capped mountains for the first time. She had never been skiing before and couldn’t conceal her excitement. “What should we do first, Mark? Skiing, the luge, snowboarding or ski jumping?” Mark thought about the question for a couple of seconds, then said, “I think I’ll just stay in the cabin and read.” But Kathleen, who had heard his excuses before, replied, “How can you go to Switzerland and not ski? Hurry up and get your skis on before it gets late!”
Within minutes they were sitting in the ski lift traveling up to the top of the slope. They were both wearing thick clothes, gloves, ski goggles, and of course skis. As the ski lift took them higher, the village below seemed to get smaller until they could barely see it. “This will be awesome!” said Kathleen as she watched other skiers whiz down the mountain.
Finally it was Kathleen’s turn to ski. She pushed herself off and accelerated down the slope, weaving through the gates as she went. Seconds later, Mark followed her down, and soon caught her. “This is pretty easy!” shouted Mark. But they hadn’t got far when they collided and ended up buried in the snow. Kathleen tried to move, but she couldn’t. Mark couldn’t move either.
“You have to call for help,” said Kathleen. So Mark summoned up a tremendous roar which echoed around the valley. When the echo stopped, there was silence in the valley. Then they heard a low noise reverberate far away. “What was that sound Kathleen? I hope everything is ok…”

Idea 2: They get rescued by other skiers! How do they thank the skiers? Do they go skiing again?
Idea 3: They manage to dig themselves out of the hole just before the avalanche hits. Are they both ok? Does Kathleen still want to do more skiing?
