The Mother¡¦s Day mess ¤@¹ÎÁVªº¥À¿Ë¸`
One day Kathleen was wrapping a gift in the living room when Mark walked in.
¡§Who¡¦s that for?¡¨ he asked.
¡§My mom. I won¡¦t be able to visit her on Mother¡¦s Day, so I¡¦m sending her some chocolate and a card,¡¨ Kathleen said.
¡§You can come to my parent¡¦s house on Mother¡¦s Day,¡¨ Mark said. ¡§The whole family will be there.¡¨
Kathleen always had fun at Mark¡¦s parents¡¦ home, so she agreed to go.
On Mother¡¦s Day they got there early. Mark went to help the men in his family cook dinner while Kathleen sat in the yard with Mark¡¦s mom and the rest of the women.
¡§Kathleen, have you thought about getting married and having kids?¡¨ asked Mark¡¦s Aunt Mildred.
¡§I think I¡¦m doing fine on my own,¡¨ Kathleen said.
¡§Well I don¡¦t know what I would do without Richard. Any problem that comes up he fixes, and he¡¦s always there to protect me.¡¨
Just then Richard, along with the rest of the men, came running out of the kitchen. Mark¡¦s eyebrows were gone!
¡§Grease fire!¡¨ Richard shouted. ¡§Everybody run!¡¨
¡§Hmmph,¡¨ Mildred said. She, along with Mark¡¦s mom and two of his aunts, walked into the kitchen¡K
