A fashion run gone awry
流行趴趴走出糗記
Mark was getting ready to play some video games when Kathleen came walking through the door dressed to the nines.
"Let's go to Ximending," the fashionable mouse said. "I have some shopping to do."
So Mark and Kathleen hopped on the MRT and went to Ximending. When they left the station, they looked at all the people.
"Gosh, I don't think I'll fit into that mass of shoppers," Mark said.
"It's OK," Kathleen said. "Just don't step on anybody's feet."
Kathleen began walking through the crowd. She wanted to find a backpack that would make other mice grovel.
"Let's go in there," she said, pointing at a store called Swag Bags. "I want a pink backpack with a control on the strap that I can use to control my iPod."
They went inside and Mark looked around. He found a bag that was just like Kathleen described.
"This is perfect," she said. "There's two left. I'm going to buy both of them and send one to my friend in Spain. I don't want anyone else in Taipei to have a bag like mine."
Kathleen paid for the bag and they walked outside. Almost immediately, Mark saw a bobcat holding the same bag ...

馬克正準備要玩電動玩具，凱薩琳盛裝打扮走了進來。
「我們去西門町吧！」時髦的凱薩琳說：「我要買一些東西。」
馬克和凱薩琳於是跳上了捷運，往西門町出發。離開捷運站後，他們看了四周圍所有的人。
「天啊，我覺得我跟這一堆逛街的人格格不入！」馬克說。
「沒關係，」凱薩琳說：「只要別踩到別人的腳就好了。」

Idea 1: Mark is worried that Kathleen will be upset, so he doesn't tell her about the bobcat. But as they continue walking, Kathleen sees three mice with the same bag. Does she decide to keep her bag? Does she get angry at the mice? Does she cry?
想法一: 因為馬克擔心凱薩琳會不高興，所以他沒有告訴她關於那隻山貓的事情。但是當他們繼續走著，凱薩琳看見三隻老鼠背著跟她同款式的背包。她還會要她的背包嗎？她會不會因此生那些老鼠的氣？她會哭嗎？
Idea 2: Mark points out the bobcat to Kathleen. Does Kathleen try to return the bags? Does she try to trick the other bobcat into thinking the bag is unfashionable? Does the bobcat get angry and want to eat Kathleen?
想法二: 馬克指了那隻山貓給凱薩琳看。凱薩琳會要退還背包嗎？她會去騙山貓，跟牠說那個背包不時髦嗎？那隻山貓會因此生氣而要把凱薩琳吃掉嗎？
Idea 3: Kathleen also sees the bobcat. She decides to dye her bag another color. What color does she dye it? Does it look strange? Does she make a big mess with the dye?
想法三: 凱薩琳也看見了那隻山貓。她決定把她的背包染成其他顏色。她會染什麼顏色呢？背包會看起來很奇怪嗎？她會把染料弄得到處都是嗎？
凱薩琳開始穿過人群。她想要找到一個會讓其他老鼠艷羨的超炫背包。
「我們進去這一間吧！」她指著一家叫Swag Bags的店說著。「我想要一個粉紅色的背包，背帶上有可以控制我iPod的操縱裝置。」
他們進去了這家店，馬克到處看了一下。他發現了一個跟凱薩琳描述一模一樣的背包。
「這個再合適也不過了！」她說。「還剩下兩個，我要把兩個都買下來，然後其中一個送給我在西班牙的朋友。我不想台北有其他人跟我有一樣的背包。」
凱薩琳付了錢，然後他們走出了店外。不一會兒，馬克看到了一隻山貓正拿著同款式的背包．．．（翻譯：楊鴻泰）
