The Adventures of Kathleen the Great and Mark the Meek 英勇凱薩琳與害羞馬克歷險記

Meet Kathleen the mouse and Mark the elephant. Kathleen is very brave and likes adventure, but Mark is very shy and scared of many things. But friends stay together, so Mark follows Kathleen wherever she goes. Sometimes they get into some very sticky situations.
見見老鼠凱薩琳和大象馬克。凱薩琳非常勇敢又喜歡冒險，但馬克的個性十分害羞，對許多事情都感到害怕。不過，朋友都喜歡黏在一塊兒，所以凱薩琳走到哪兒，馬克就會跟到哪兒。有時候，他們也會碰上非常棘手的情況...
Stick 'em up! 搶劫記
Mark and Kathleen were standing under an umbrella at the little neighborhood fruit stand. "All of this fruit will taste great! It'll also help us to beat the heat," Kathleen said.
"Great! What do you want to get? I prefer kiwis and watermelons, but anything is fine with me," Mark replied.
Kathleen was picking out her own favorites. "I'm going to get some strawberries and oranges. We'll ask the boss to help us cut them up and go eat them at your place."
"Fantastic!" exclaimed Mark. He reached for his wallet to get out the money for the fruit, but it was empty. "Oh no, we don't have any money!" he gasped.
Kathleen was not discouraged. "No problem. We'll just jog over to the bank and grab some cash. Let's go."
Mark followed Kathleen and they entered the bank, heading over to a teller machine.
"If I could only remember the password," Mark was saying to himself when there was a loud crash from the bank doors.
Mark and Kathleen, startled, turned toward the front door.
Three men with big sticks were moving through the bank. "Everybody freeze," one man yelled. "This is a stick up ..."
馬克和凱薩琳站在附近小水果攤的大傘下。凱薩琳說︰「這些水果想必很美味！也是清涼消暑的良方！」
馬克回答︰「太好了！你想要買什麼？我比較喜歡奇異果和西瓜，但其實都好啦。」
凱薩琳挑選著自己最喜歡的水果。「我要買草莓和柳橙。我想請老闆幫我們切好，再拿到你家吃。」
馬克喊著說︰「太棒了！」他伸手拿皮夾，想掏錢付水果，卻發現皮夾內空無一物。他倒抽了一口氣說︰「不！我們沒錢了！」
凱薩琳沒有因此感到沮喪。她說︰「沒關係，我們到銀行領錢就沒問題了。走吧！」
馬克跟著凱薩琳進了銀行，兩人走向提款機。
馬克自言自語說︰「假如我還記得密碼的話。」這時他聽到銀行大門傳來一聲巨響。
馬克和凱薩琳驚訝地轉向大門。
三名男子拿著大棍子走入了銀行。「通通不許動，」其中一名男子大叫︰「這是搶劫‥‥‥」

| Idea 1: The robbers quickly complete their task and leave with bags of money. Kathleen decides to follow them. Where do the robbers go? Where do they hide the money? How do Mark and Kathleen contact the police? Do they get a reward?
想法一: 搶匪很快就搶劫完，拿了好幾袋錢離開。凱薩琳決定跟蹤他們。搶匪會往哪裡去？他們會把錢藏在哪裡？馬克和凱薩琳要怎麼報警？他們會得到獎賞嗎？
Idea 2: Kathleen is determined not to let the robbery succeed. How do they slow the robbers down? How long does it take for the police to get there? Is Mark able to help, or is he too scared? What happens?
想法二: 凱薩琳決定別讓搶匪得逞。他們要怎麼拖延搶匪？警察要多久才會到呢？馬克可以幫上忙嗎，還是過於害怕呢？發生了什麼事？
Idea 3: The police come quickly and surround the bank, but the robbers don't give up. How long does the siege last? What happens in the bank while the police are outside? Why do the robbers finally give up?
想法三: 警方很快就抵達，將銀行團團圍住，但搶匪不肯善罷甘休。警方的包圍會拉鋸多久？警方在外頭時，銀行內會發生什麼事？搶匪最後投降的原因是什麼？ |
