The Guinness Book of World Records has said that North Dakota in the US holds a new world record. The record is for the most snow angels made at the same time in one place.
On Feb. 17 this year, 8,962 snow angels were created by people waving their arms while lying in the snow covering the state Capitol grounds.
State senators waved their arms like snow-angels as they approved a resolution celebrating the record.
Lieutenant Governor Jack Dalrymple, called the display "a bizarre thing to see."
State Senator Dick Dever, who sponsored the resolution, said "If anybody wants to challenge (the record), bring 'em on." Both the state senate and House approved the resolution.
North Dakota's turnout beat the earlier record of 3,784 snow angels, set at Michigan Technological University last year.
