Last month the government passed a new law which says that passengers in the back seat of cars have to wear seatbelts on freeways and expressways.
The driver of the car can be fined between NT$3,000-6,000 if their passengers don't wear their seatbelts. Drivers can be fined up to NT$3,000 if they don't place children under four years old in a child safety seat.
Did you know that it is smart to wear your seatbelt in the back of the car all the time — not just on freeways and expressways?
If the car you are in crashes and you are not fastened in securely, you can fly forward. You might go through the windshield. Or you might hit the back of the driver's seat and send him through the windshield. Someone in the car — yourself, your Mom or your Dad — might be seriously injured or even die!
Be smart, buckle up in the back and look after yourself and others.

乘客若未繫安全帶，汽車駕駛得處新台幣三千到六千元的罰鍰。駕駛若未將四歲以下孩童安置於孩童安全座椅，最高也會被處新台幣三千元的罰鍰。

明智一點，乘坐車後座時扣上安全帶，照顧自己也保護他人。
