The butterflies in this picture are very special.They are called purple crows. They are only found in Taiwan. Taiwan is home to about 400 different types of butterflies.
Taiwan used to be called the Kingdom of the Butterflies. Sadly there are not so many butterflies now because our cities are getting bigger. So the butterflies don't have anywhere to live.
You can help the butterflies in Taiwan by making a butterfly garden. Get a window box and put it by a sunny window. Make sure that it isn't too windy — the butterflies like to sit still while they eat.
Your garden will need flowers for the butterflies to drink the nectar from, and leaves for the caterpillars to eat.
You need to put a saucer of wet sand in the soil so the butterflies can bathe. Butterflies also like to have smooth rocks to sit on in the sun.
Don't forget that the caterpillars will eat lots of leaves when they are growing. Don't worry that's all part of having a butterfly garden!

你的花園需要有花朵讓蝴蝶喝花蜜，還有葉子讓毛毛蟲填飽肚子。
你得在土裡放一小碟濕沙讓蝴蝶淨身。蝴蝶也喜歡在日光下停駐在光滑的石頭上。
別忘了毛毛蟲長大的過程中會啃掉大量的樹葉，別擔心！這些都是打造蝴蝶花園必經的過程！
