Are you right-handed or left-handed? If you're left-handed, you should feel special. Only about 10 percent of the people in the world are left-handed.
A long time ago, people used to think that left-handed people were stupid or evil. Of course, today we know that isn't true. In fact, some scientists have done research that has shown that left-handed people might be smarter and more creative than right-handed people.
Animals also prefer to use one side of their body or the other. Like people, most animals are right-handed, but there is one animal that isn't: the polar bear. The people who live near polar bears say that they are all left-handed. But we probably shouldn't say polar bears are left-handed; they're left-pawed!
