Have you ever seen snow? If you have, did you get a chance to play in it?
Playing in the snow is something that children who live in cold places all over the world love to do. You can build snowmen, make snow angels and have snowball fights.
But in most parts of Taiwan, we get rain instead of snow. That's because in order for it to snow, it must be freezing cold way up in the sky.
When it isn't cold enough up high to make snow, but rain freezes as it's falling down, this makes hail. Although it might not be very fun to play in the rain, it's much more fun than playing in hail.
