A big bite

PHOTO: AP

This crocodile is jumping out of the water to eat a piece of meat someone has thrown to it.

If you have a dog, jumping for food is a trick you might have seen before.

But when a dog does it, it's much less scary to think about accidentally putting your hand too close to its mouth.

Crocodiles have very strong tails which make them incredibly fast swimmers. Because they are so fast, crocodiles can use their tails to push their whole bodies out of the water and into the air.

Although there aren't very many times when crocodiles need to do this, it works well when someone throws them food.
