Temperatures across Taiwan are expected to rise again during the day today, and the weather is to remain warm until Sunday, after which seasonal northeasterly winds would strengthen again, according to the Central Weather Administration (CWA).
Today, northern and northeastern Taiwan are expected to see highs of 20-22°C, while in central and southern Taiwan the mercury would rise to 25-27°C, the CWA forecast.
Nighttime lows would hover around 15-17°C across the country, the CWA said.

In the early hours of today, the lowest temperature recorded in a low-lying region in Taiwan was 12.8°C in Nantou County's Mingjian Township, according to CWA data.
The warmer daytime temperatures would last until Sunday, and the mercury would fall from Monday through Wednesday at night and early in the morning in northern Taiwan and other parts of the country, with the arrival of northeasterly winds, the CWA forecast.
Lows in northern and central Taiwan would drop gradually to around 15°C, while southern Taiwan would see nighttime temperatures of 18-19°C, according to the CWA.
However, daytime highs would hover at 25-26°C in northern Taiwan, 28-29°C in central areas and 29-30°C in the south, the CWA said.
Meanwhile, the CWA has forecast sporadic localized showers on the north coast, in Yilan and Hualien counties, and in mountainous regions of the Greater Taipei Area today.
Taitung County, the Hengchun Peninsula and areas north of Taoyuan may see some light drizzles, according to the CWA.
Other parts of the country, including the outlying Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu islands, can expect cloudy skies, while there would be occasional sunshine in central and southern Taiwan today, the CWA said.
By tomorrow, only sporadic showers would continue in eastern and northern Taiwan and on the Hengchun Peninsula, while other parts of the country would see cloudy skies, according to the CWA.
On the weekend, the sporadic rain would continue on the northern coast, in mountainous regions of the Greater Taipei area, in eastern Taiwan and on the Hengchun Peninsula, while cloudy to sunny skies would be seen across the rest of the country, the CWA said.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) yesterday reported the first case of a new COVID-19 subvariant — BA.3.2 — in a 10-year-old Singaporean girl who had a fever upon arrival in Taiwan and tested positive for the disease.
