Taiwanese carrier Tigerair Taiwan yesterday said it is to launch three new routes to Japan, including Kaohsiung-Kumamoto and Tainan-Kumamoto starting on Dec. 23, and Tainan-Okinawa starting Dec. 25.
The airline said in a news release that each route will initially operate two round-trip flights per week.
On Tuesdays and Fridays, flight IT-766 is to depart Kaohsiung International Airport at 8:45am, with the return flight IT-767 leaving Kumamoto Airport at 7:50pm.

Also on Tuesdays and Fridays, flight IT-794 is to depart Tainan Airport at 3:55pm, with flight IT-795 departing Kumamoto Airport at 12:40pm on the same days.
On Thursdays and Sundays, flight IT-796 would leave Tainan Airport at 3:20pm, while flight IT-797 is to depart Okinawa’s Naha Airport at 1:30pm on the same days.
Tigerair Taiwan said the new routes are part of an ongoing effort to expand its network and provide travelers with a broader range of destinations.
The airline added that Kumamoto would become its 23rd destination in Japan, and the Tainan-Kumamoto service is to mark its first international route departing from Tainan.
