Scaffolding on the exterior of National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH) collapsed today, striking one vehicle but causing no injuries.
The hospital said the scaffolding was scheduled to be removed yesterday, but the removal was postponed due to poor weather.

The collapse may have been due to heavy rainfall, the hospital said, adding that the project has been temporarily suspended.
As no personnel were working on the scaffolding when it collapsed, no one was injured, NTUH spokesperson Chen Yen-yuan (陳彥元) said to media today following the incident.
The cause of the accident and who might be responsible is still being determined, Chen said.
To prevent any falling debris from endangering others, two of the three lanes surrounding the hospital have been closed to ensure on-site safety, he said.
Compensation would be provided for the vehicle damaged in the incident, he added.
The contractor for this renovation project on the hospital’s exterior wall is the SGM Stone Co. (翔聯企業股份有公司).
