This year, CTBC Bank won recognition mainly for the international reach and competitive advantages of its services, its number of high-net-worth clients, its syndicated loans for solar and offshore wind energy sectors, for launching the first sustainability-linked bonds in Taiwan and its other services related to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
CTBC Bank has made significant advances in reducing its corporate carbon footprint while maintaining its corporate leadership, including the ATM X LINE Personalized Service utilized by 3.3 million clients, which reduced 200 tonnes of carbon emissions and saved paperwork equivalent to the height of 13 Taipei 101 skyscrapers a year.
At the same time, the bank launched integrated electronic stock trading services featuring notifications for stock values, shareholder’s meetings and perks that significantly improved security, communication efficiency and sustainability.
Being a global leader in revenues, profit and asset size, CTBC Bank has been recognized as the best bank in Taiwan by the Global Finance, AsiaMoney, FinanceAsia and Euromoney magazines.
Qualifying as tier-1 capital with more than US$11.26 billion in assets, the bank was also ranked one of the world’s top 1,000 banks by The Banker. It was the only Taiwanese financial institution to receive the honor.
