It is supposed to be the happiest day of any woman¡¦s life, but an Indian air force official decided he could upstage his future wife ¡X by dropping in from 2,100m.

Shisir Mishra, an accomplished skydiver, jumped from a helicopter and landed in a sports ground close to the bride¡¦s home in Bhubaneswar, the capital of Orissa state.

Mishra, along with three friends, jumped free fall before opening his parachute about 100m from the ground and landing to cheers from hundreds of well-wishers at the wedding ceremony.

¡§The idea of doing something on the occasion of my marriage struck me after I read about a couple in Maharashtra getting married in a hot air balloon recently,¡¨ said Mishra, whose bride gifted him a bouquet on arrival.

¡§Not for a moment was I scared. I was sure he would make it,¡¨ bride Sweta Prusty said.

The jump was meat and drink for Mishra who previously won a place in the Indian equivalent of the Guinness World Records for jumping free fall from 4,500m with the Indian national flag in hand.

    meat and drink »´¦Ó©öÁ|¤§¨Æ

When something is meat and drink for people, it means that they can easily do something that other people find difficult. They may be naturally good at the task, or they may have had a lot of practice at it.

For example: ¡§We spent hours trying to figure out how to fix the computer, but it was meat and drink for Steve, who fixed it in under 10 minutes,¡¨ or ¡§Harry aced his military service fitness test. Some of the candidates struggled on the 10km run, but it was meat and drink for Harry.¡¨

Carter: Have you seen the pictures from Trevor and Trisha¡¦s wedding yet?

Eric: Yeah. Trevor uploaded them to the Web, so I checked them out online. I think he looked great in that suit.

Carter: That¡¦s true. But what on earth was Trisha doing wearing a mini-skirt on her wedding day? She must be nearly 45 years old.

Eric: You¡¦re right. Talk about mutton dressed as lamb! If I were Trevor I¡¦d be embarrassed getting married to a woman like that.

Mutton is the meat from older sheep, and lamb is the meat from younger sheep, so the expression mutton dressed as lamb means an older person who is trying to look younger.
