A Chihuahua mix that weighs just over 1kg helped police catch a criminal in California, US.
Tink's Christmas Day adventure began when four suspects who were trying to get away from police crashed a stolen van. After the crash, one of the suspects ran away on foot.
Tink found him hiding under a neighbor's motor home and chased him into the woods, said Wendy Anderson. The dog belongs to her son.
Her son and husband helped a police helicopter find the 20-year-old man.
"The Chihuahua gave him up," officer Jeff Herbert said.
The three other suspects were teenagers from the San Francisco Bay area, Herbert said. The suspect who fled was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public and resisting arrest.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of stealing the van, driving without a license and resisting arrest. The other two suspects were released to their parents.(STAFF WRITER, WITH AP)
