Post-punk/garage rock group Tight Tight Crotch (緊褲襠), instrumental rock band BHD and electronic/alternative rock outfit Sleeping Brain (眠腦) congregate tonight at The Wall (這牆), Taipei’s most prominent venue for indie rock artists. Tomorrow, the venue hosts ACG Band Live, a regularly held event featuring music groups playing songs from animation works and computer games. Rock Empire’s Euro Metal Month continues on Sunday with a performance by Finnish folk metal band Korpiklaani. It is the Audition Night on Thursday, showing off new bands including funk/rock group Mofo Party (脫序派對), As Real and The Unspoken Rules (潛規則).

The Taiwan POW Camps Memorial Society and the Australian Office will hold a Remembrance Day service on Nov. 10 at 11am on the site of the former Kinkaseki POW Camp in the village of Jinguashi. Following the service, everyone is invited to join together for a picnic lunch in the community center. Chartered buses will depart from the east side of the Grand Hyatt Hotel, 2, Songshou Rd, Taipei City (台北市松壽路2號) at 9:15am, and will leave Jinguashi for Taipei around 2 pm. The cost for the bus and lunch is NT$400 and reservations are required.
