Famous Newlyweds Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey are single again.
The celebrity couple, who let the US pry into their marriage with their MTV reality show, have finalized their divorce, a spokesman for the singer-actress said on Saturday.
The marriage of Simpson and Lachey crumbled late last year after three years.
Celebrity magazines reported the two had yet to work out a financial agreement, but Simpson's spokesman, Rob Shuter, refused to comment.
"All I am confirming is that they are now in fact divorced," he said.
Lachey's representatives could not be reached for comment.
Lachey, 32, is promoting his album What's Left of Me, while Simpson, 25, is recording a video for her new single, A Public Affair, after starring in last summer's movie The Dukes of Hazzard.
Rapper Lil' Kim is also free -- from prison.
The Grammy award winner says she is being released from prison on Monday after serving nearly 10 months in prison for lying about a shootout outside a hip-hop radio station.
"I am thrilled to be coming home," Lil' Kim said last week in a statement issued by her publicist. "I thank all my fans for all their letters, as well as my family and friends for all their support throughout the past 10 months."
The entertainer, whose real name is Kimberly Jones, began serving her time at a federal detention center in Philadelphia on Sept. 19.
She was sentenced to a year and a day in prison, but her lawyer, L. Londell McMillan, noted that she could be released early for good behavior.
"She has accepted responsibility and handled herself in an exemplary manner," McMillan said.
The rapper, who will remain under house arrest for 30 days after her release, was convicted of lying to a federal grand jury and in the subsequent trial.
The case stemmed from a gun battle that erupted outside the Manhattan studios of WQHT-FM, known as Hot 97, when Lil' Kim's entourage crossed paths with a rival rap group, Capone-N-Noreaga, whose song Bang, Bang contains an insult to her from rival Foxy Brown. One man was hurt in the shootout that followed.
Lil' Kim, who won a Grammy in 2001 for her part in the hit remake of Lady Marmalade, maintained she hadn't noticed two of her close friends -- who later pleaded guilty to gun charges -- at the scene of the shootout. But jurors at her trial saw radio station security photos that depicted one of them opening a door for her, and witnesses said they saw her at the station with both of them.
Meanwhile, comic actor Rob Schneider was back on the set of his directorial debut film a day after collapsing from heat exhaustion and food poisoning, his spokeswoman said on Friday.
The former Saturday Night Live player and star of such films as Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo was taken to the San Joaquin General Hospital in central California on Wednesday after he fell ill on the set of Big Stan, spokeswoman Shara Koplowitz said.
"Rob had a slight case of food poisoning and the 107 [41 degrees Celsius] heat brought on nausea," Koplowitz said. "He went to the hospital, was treated for nausea and released the same day."
He returned to work on his film, being shot near the city of Stockton, the next day.
Koplowitz did not comment on what might have caused Schneider's food poisoning.
Big Stan, a comedy that marks the actor's feature debut as a director, stars Schneider as a con artist who is jailed for fraud but takes martial-arts lessons to ward off any advances from fellow inmates.
