"Cinema is an undertaking, not merely an artistic creation" is probably Jalladeau's most heartfelt advice for our film industry.

For those of you who are interested in having a mini review on F3C, the Nantes program in Kaohsiung Film Festival has a line-up of 15 films from Iran, Israel, Argentina, Tajikastan, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia and Taiwan.

Six of the selected films are Taiwanese productions, including Rebels of the Neon God (青少年哪吒) and Vive l'Amour (愛情萬歲) by Tsai Ming-liang (蔡明亮) and A Summer at Grandpas (冬冬的假期) by Hou Hsiao-hsien (侯孝賢).

For more information about the festival, you can go to www.kff.com.tw, or call (07) 5511211.
