The Taipei-based British Trade and Cultural Office (BTCO) is inviting Taiwanese companies to participate in TechnologyWorld09 scheduled for Nov. 23 and Nov. 24 in Coventry, England, saying it would help bolster their business potential.
The exhibition — the UK’s biggest international “meet-the-buyer” event — is the right place for high-tech companies looking for more business, innovation and business partners, the BTCO said in a press release.
Each year, TechnologyWorld gets better and better, UK Trade and Investment chief executive Andrew Cahn was quoted as saying.
“The UK attracts top buyers because of its track record in innovation and excellence in technology,” Cahn said.
Building on last year’s success, which generated an estimated £30 million (US$48.8 million), this year’s event will be held at the Richo Arena in Coventry. It will host global giants such as Panasonic, Hitachi, Nokia, Orange, PTT and Kayagura Health Solutions, BTCO said.
Some 200 companies from around the world have registered to participate in this year’s show in search of technology innovation, the BTCO said, adding that evidence from TechnologyWorld08 suggests they will find what they seek. About 93 percent of businesses from 38 countries that attended the show last year aid they were likely to increase trade with UK businesses, the BTCO said.
This year’s show has been considerably enhanced as part of the British government’s strategic vision for the country’s economic recovery, the BTCO said.
Participating companies can arrange one-to-one meetings through an online meeting facility and sign up for sessions of the conference program, it said.
The TechnologyWorld09 flyer is available online.
