Minister of Transportation and Communications Lin Ling-san (林陵三) is slated to visit Washington next month to speak at a US-Taiwan Business Council executive luncheon, the council's chairman, former US defense secretary Frank Carlucci, said Friday. Lin was invited to speak at the May 13 luncheon to US government officials and business leaders about Taiwan's ongoing developments in transportation and communications, Carlucci said. According to the council, Lin is also scheduled to call on various US government officials and business groups to discuss Taiwan's transportation and communications development needs and future development plans. The minister's visit will also take him to Chicago and Memphis.
