Saint Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Terrance Drew said on arrival in Taipei today that he has a deep appreciation for Taiwan's "remarkable achievements" in multiple areas, which can serve as a model for his country.
Drew, who is on his third visit to Taiwan since taking office in 2022, is scheduled to meet with President William Lai (賴清德) and witness the forging of sister city relationships between the capital Basseterre and two Taiwan cities: Taipei and Tainan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

The previous two visits "left me with a deep appreciation for Taiwan's remarkable achievements in technology, innovation, science and education, and this visit is no different," he told reporters upon arrival at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport for a five-day visit, where he was welcomed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Lin Chia-lung (林佳龍).
"Each engagement provides us, as a young and ambitious nation, with an opportunity to learn, grow and explore new ways to advance our own development," Drew said.
"As we continue this longstanding friendship, Saint Kitts and Nevis remains steadfast in its support for Taiwan, especially in ensuring that your invaluable contributions to global peace, development and innovation receive the recognition and inclusion they deserve in the international community," he added.
The visiting delegation includes the prime minister's wife Diani Prince-Drew, Minister of Foreign Affairs Denzil Douglas, Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister's Office Naeemah Hazelle and Ambassador-at-Large Leon Natta-Nelson.

South Korea’s e-Arrival card system lists Taiwan as “China (Taiwan)” in the “point of departure” and “next destination” fields. The ministry said that it changed the nationality for South Koreans on Taiwan’s Alien Resident Certificates from “Korea” to “South Korea” on March 1, in a gesture of goodwill and based on the
The Ministry of National Defense yesterday reported the return of large-scale Chinese air force activities after their unexplained absence for more than two weeks, which had prompted speculation regarding Beijing’s motives. The Ministry of National Defense said it had detected 26 Chinese military aircraft in the Taiwan Strait over the previous 24 hours. It last reported that many aircraft on Feb. 25, when it spotted 30 aircraft, saying Beijing was carrying out another “joint combat
