This year's Taipei International Travel Fair (ITF) is to open on Friday at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, featuring exhibitors from a record 123 countries and cities, the Taiwan Visitors Association (TVA) said yesterday.
The four-day event, running from Friday to Monday next week, is to feature more than 1,600 booths representing destinations such as Japan, South Korea, the US, Thailand and Malaysia.
More than 40 major travel agencies, along with 130 hotels, restaurants and airlines, are to offer travel information and promotional packages.

TVA chairwoman Chien Yu-yen (簡余晏) said Japan is to host the largest pavilion this year, followed by South Korea, while the US Pavilion returns.
According to TVA data, the Japan Pavilion is to feature a record 207 booths and 114 participating organizations.
Chien said that many exhibitors are launching premium and themed itineraries to attract younger travelers.
During the event, airlines would offer limited-time discounts, the US Pavilion would hold daily air ticket raffles and South Korea’s Pavilion would feature a zone dedicated to popular actor Park Bogum.
Thailand is to promote Bangkok tour packages priced under NT$10,000.
The fair would also include international performances, a mascot parade and appearances by travel influencer Miya, YouTuber Goldfish Brain and other celebrities.
The manufacture of the remaining 28 M1A2T Abrams tanks Taiwan purchased from the US has recently been completed, and they are expected to be delivered within the next one to two months, a source said yesterday. A group from the Taiwanese Designers in Australia association yesterday represented Taiwan at the Midsumma Pride March in Melbourne.
