No procedures regarding any transfer of diplomatic officials have been initiated, a source said today in response to media reports claiming that Representative to the US Alexander Yui (俞大㵢) is to be transferred.
Yui is to be replaced by National Security Council (NSC) Deputy Secretary-General Hsu Szu-chien (徐斯儉), while Yui is to be appointed representative to Spain, local media reported today, citing anonymous sources.
The US is said to have accepted this change in personnel, local media reported.

Hsu is to be succeeded by Presidential Office spokesperson Lii Wen (李問), local media reported.
No changes in personnel are to be made, people familiar with the matter said, adding that dealing with the reports have caused inconvenience to the representative office in the US.
Eight Chinese naval vessels and 24 military aircraft were detected crossing the median line of the Taiwan Strait between 6am yesterday and 6am today, the Ministry of National Defense said this morning. The aircraft entered Taiwan’s northern, central, southwestern and eastern air defense identification zones, the ministry said.
