Minister of Foreign Affairs Lin Chia-lung (林佳龍) yesterday arrived in Paraguay, leading a business delegation focused on advancing bilateral cooperation in technology, industry and infrastructure.
Lin is to tour several Taiwan-sponsored projects in the South American country, including the Taiwan-Paraguay Smart Technology Park and Polytechnic University Taiwan-Paraguay, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
He would also inspect the first batch of electric buses that Taiwan donated to the nation, and the Health Information Management Efficiency Enhancement Project, the ministry said.

Lin wrote on Facebook that although Paraguay is geographically distant from Taiwan, the two countries are close partners in shared values and cooperation.
The visit highlights Taiwan's commitment to advancing Paraguay's industrial modernization and sustainable development through technological collaboration, he said.
The delegation includes representatives from Taiwan's semiconductor, information and communication technology, smart transportation, agri-tech, construction, and advanced textile sectors.
Paraguay is the only South American country among Taiwan's 12 diplomatic allies. The two nations established diplomatic relations in 1957.
Eight Chinese naval vessels and 24 military aircraft were detected crossing the median line of the Taiwan Strait between 6am yesterday and 6am today, the Ministry of National Defense said this morning.
