Partly cloudy to sunny skies will prevail across Taiwan today, although some scattered afternoon showers are likely in mountainous areas, according to the Central Weather Administration (CWA).
Daytime temperatures are expected to reach 31-34°C in the western half of Taiwan today, 29-30°C in the eastern half, and 35-36°C in valleys in the south, the agency said.

The agency has issued an advisory for people to take appropriate measures to prevent sunburn and dehydration when going outdoors.
Lows of 23-25°C are forecast across Taiwan tonight, according to the CWA.
During the day today, temperatures are expected to be slightly lower in the outlying islands, the CWA said, forecasting daytime highs of 23-28°C in Penghu, 22-27°C in Kinmen, and 20-24°C in Matsu.
It warned, however, of poor visibility in Kinmen and Matsu due to fog and low clouds, which it said may affect flights to and from the islands.
The warm, sunny weather is expected to continue tomorrow, after which a weather front would arrive, causing temperatures to drop by 5-6 degrees on Wednesday and bringing scattered showers to Taichung in central Taiwan and to northern areas of the country, according to the CWA.
