Nantou's central mountains filled with crisp mountain air complement the peaceful vistas, making the county a haven for travelers seeking tranquility, TTW added.
Joining Nantou on Agoda's list were Sapporo, Japan; Kuching, Malaysia; Singapore; El Nido in the Philippines; Gangneung on the eastern coastline of South Korea; and Koh Lipe, a small island in southern Thailand.
"These destinations are not only likely to offer cleaner air but also a variety of experiences, from cultural festivals to natural wonders," Agoda said.
