He said yesterday that having wedding photographs taken underwater is becoming a popular trend among young people, and many couples are choosing to record one of their most important life milestones in the water, which appears dreamier.
Many women would wear different wedding dress styles for underwater wedding photography, including traditional Chinese wedding dresses, classic white modern wedding dresses or even dreamy ball gowns, he said.
It is challenging for photographers to bring out the beauty of a woman while wearing a wedding dress in the water, as the subjects must learn to hold their breath and receive diving training, he said, adding that they also need to strap on lead dive weights to keep their body submerged in the water for the shoot.

The pool also needs to be decorated to match the features of each wedding dress, he added.
In addition, the photographer must also set up the appropriate lighting to highlight the subject’s charming posture and expressions, Tzeng said, adding that a flash should not be used as it would make the dreamy underwater wonderland appear dark and gloomy.
Those who want to try out underwater wedding photography themselves should use a high-quality prime lens (fixed focal length) with a large aperture, set the camera to AFC mode to enable high-speed bursts and focus on the subject’s face, Tzeng said.
GREAT POWER COMPETITION: Beijing views its military cooperation with Russia as a means to push back against the joint power of the US and its allies, an expert said A recent Sino-Russian joint air patrol conducted over the waters off Alaska was designed to counter the US military in the Pacific and demonstrated improved interoperability between Beijing’s and Moscow’s forces, a national security expert said.
