US singer-songwriter Bruno Mars is to perform in Kaohsiung on Sept. 8, Live Nation announced on Friday.
The genre-hopping musician is to take the stage for one night at Kaohsiung National Stadium, starting at 7pm, the ticketing company said.
It is the first time the singer is to perform in Kaohsiung.

Tickets for Live Nation Taiwan members are to go on sale at 10am on June 27, a day before general sale begins at 10am on June 28.
The Kaohsiung City Government welcomed the announcement, saying it would make sure transportation and other facilities are ready for the concert.
Mars is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with eight songs having reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 list, including the hits Just the Way You Are and That’s What I Like.
He has won 15 Grammys and was listed on the Time 100 in 2011.

Hong Kong singer Eason Chan’s (陳奕迅) concerts in Kaohsiung this weekend have been postponed after he was diagnosed with Covid-19 this morning, the organizer said today. Taiwanese indie band Sunset Rollercoaster and South Korean outfit Hyukoh collectively received the most nominations at this year’s Golden Melody Awards, earning a total of seven nods from the jury on Wednesday. Palauan President Surangel Whipps Jr arrived in Taiwan last night to kick off his first visit to the country since beginning his second term earlier this year. Premier Cho Jung-tai (卓榮泰) on Friday laid out the Cabinet’s updated policy agenda and recapped the government’s achievements ahead of the one-year anniversary of President William Lai’s (賴清德) inauguration.
