A scoop of ice cream is undoubtedly a popular summer dessert. We all love conventional flavors like chocolate and vanilla. However, rather than choosing a beloved standard, check out some specialty ice cream flavors!
In Colorado, US, there is a vendor of honey jalapeno pickle ice cream. This flavor has a sweet cream base mixed with honey, chopped jalapeno peppers and pickles. It has the most common pregnancy cravings in one flavor, as it blends sweet, salty, and spicy tastes. Although this flavor is only available in summer, it’s very popular with mothers-to-be.
Those who prefer milder tastes will appreciate the lobster ice cream from Maine, US. Legend says a patron at a dessert shop joked that it offered every flavor except lobster: a famous Maine food. Since then, the shop has been selling this lobster ice cream. The mix of buttery vanilla ice cream and lobster chunks gained popularity with tourists. Now, many people bring home souvenir T-shirts that say: “I tried lobster ice cream and survived!”

If you like sweet ice cream with a crunch of lean insect protein, you’ll like the cicada ice cream from New Jersey, US. Every 17 years, thousands of Brood X cicadas emerge from underground. One shop wished to take advantage of the 2004 cicada plague. It collected, cooked and ground up cicadas before blending them with chocolate ice cream. It’s too bad it can only make this every 17 years.
These are just three ice cream flavors with weird ingredients. Take a chance and indulge in some other strange options, if you dare.

Historians are rethinking the way the Holocaust is being presented in museums as the world marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the last Nazi concentration camps this month. Shocking images of the mass killings of Jews were “used massively at the end of World War II to show the violence of the Nazis,” historian Tal Bruttmann, a specialist on the Holocaust, told AFP. But in doing so “we kind of lost sight of the fact that is not normal to show” such graphic scenes of mass murder, of people being humiliated and dehumanized, he said. Up to this

When people listen to music today, they typically use streaming services like YouTube or Spotify. However, traditional formats like vinyl records have regained popularity in recent times. Vinyl records are circular discs that store music in grooves on their surfaces and are played on a turntable. As the turntable’s needle runs along these grooves, it picks up vibrations and translates them into sound. The history of vinyl records dates back to the late 1800s, but material and technological challenges delayed mass production until the 1950s. Despite early versions having short playtimes and poor sound quality, vinyl records introduced a new era
