A man surnamed Huang in Taichung was feeling depressed, and so on the early morning of Jan. 29 he tried to raise his spirits by drinking alcohol while locking his wife and child out of the house. It so happened that at 9am in the morning on the same day a police officer was patrolling the neighborhood and saw a woman dressed in thin pajamas, with a baby in her arms, looking helpless. When the officer approached her to ask her what was going on, the woman told him that her husband was at home drinking and that not only had he thrown things around, but he had also locked her and the baby out.
The officer then accompanied the woman and her baby home. Little did they know that as soon as Huang opened the door he was so drunk that he told the officer, in a loud voice, “I am wanted! Why don’t you just arrest me and earn yourself a higher performance rating?” The officer checked the database right away and it was true that this man had been wanted by the police a year ago on account of assault and offenses against public safety.
The interesting thing was, when Huang was brought to the police station he still had a smile on his face, as if he was rather proud of his fugitive identity. However, once soberness returned, he was left dumbfounded by the fact that he was going to spend six months in jail on two counts; Huang no longer wore a smile on his face. Huang said he often says stupid things when he is drunk and that after this he will never dare to drink alcohol again.

台中市黃姓男子因心情鬱悶，一月二十九日一大早就在住處內喝酒解悶，卻把妻兒鎖在門外。恰巧一名員警當天上午九時在附近巡邏，便發現路旁有一名女子穿著單薄睡衣，手上還抱著嬰兒，顯得不知所措。員警上前關心時，女子表示，丈夫在家喝酒，不僅亂摔東西，還將他們母子鎖在門外。
員警陪同母子返家，沒想到黃男一開門，就醉茫茫大聲告訴員警說：「我是通緝犯！給你賺績效！」員警立即查閱資料，果真這人一年前被依傷害、公共危險罪通緝。
有趣的是，黃男被帶到派出所時，還帶著微笑，似乎對自己通緝犯的身分相當得意，酒醒之後才驚覺自己要面對兩案共六個月的徒刑，再也笑不出來。直呼自己酒醉愛亂講話，以後不敢喝酒了。
