Washing a dog at home often ends up with the owner covered in water and the dog and owner unhappy. Those in the pet grooming industry have seen the potential of a market to solve this problem and are now promoting self-service stores with complete equipment for washing, rinsing and drying dogs. Washing your dog no longer has to be so difficult and if you do not want to do it yourself, you can send it to a professional to help you do it. This new industry has already attracted many dog owners in search of a new experience.
Owners of self-service dog spas said that most people who do not keep pets think that the idea of having a self-service dog spa is somewhat unnecessary and don’t believe that such an enterprise could be viable. However, any dog owner who has ever washed their pet at home knows that it is not easy to wash a dog. The new self-service dog spas are fully equipped, and the experience of washing your dog at one of these spas can be described as something like the difference between washing your hair at home and going to the salon to have your hair washed.
Dogs do not like to get wet and habitually shake the water off themselves when they are washed. To handle this problem, the dog spas have a special cabinet for washing pets with a transparent door made of acrylic material. These doors have four small openings in them, which the owners can use to place their pet inside. Having a pet inside behind these openings helps ensure that pet owners do not have to worry about getting wet. There is also a strong dryer capable of drying 70 to 80 percent of a dog’s fur. Owners can then finally place their dogs into a special dryer next to that to finish drying it completely. They can even choose to play music to their pets to calm them down.
Apart from washing, the self-service dog spas also provide hair protection and dyeing services. Dog owners may choose to dye their dog’s dull fur into brighter colors, while older dogs can have their fur dyed to restore color and make them look young again. There is even a place where you can paint your dog’s nails with special nail polish.

狗不愛身體淋溼，被沖水自然會甩抖；為此，業者打造的寵物洗澡櫥，以透明的壓克力做門，門上設四個小門或開口，狗在內、人在外，人不怕被淋溼；洗完後一旁即是專業的吹風管，力道十足的風量，狗狗很快就七、八成乾，之後再移入一旁的烘箱烘乾即大功告成，還可播放音樂，安撫狗狗不安的情緒。
除洗澡外，業者也提供寵物護染服務，飼主可將狗狗單調的毛色染成炫麗的艷彩，年紀大的寵物毛色不再亮麗，也能藉由染色恢復風采；想為狗狗塗指甲油也沒問題，有寵物專用指甲油任飼主挑選。
