Two people were rushed to the hospital on Monday afternoon after nine vehicles were caught in a landslide at the entrance to Chaojing Park in Keelung.
The Keelung City Fire Bureau, which responded to the landslide after receiving a report at 2:28pm, said that the occupants of the nine vehicles had escaped.

Two men – a 46-year-old surnamed Wang (王) and a 40-year-old surnamed Chen (陳) – were rushed to Chang Gung Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, but were conscious when an ambulance arrived, the bureau said.
The landslide made Beining Road impassible, it said, adding that it has dispatched a search-and-rescue team with dogs to confirm that nobody remains trapped under the rubble.
Divers were also dispatched, as Beining Road runs along the coast in Keelung’s Jhongjheng District (中正), it said.
Officials from the city’s Department of Public Works, the Keelung Police Department and local district offices were also sent to assess the situation, TVBS reported.
Two cars were confirmed to be crushed under the debris, but the full extent of the damage and any additional casualties were still being determined, the report said.
A local resident who was jogging nearby at the time of the landslide said they saw “a sudden shower of rocks falling” at 2:05pm, which they likened to rain.
Among the trapped vehicles was a taxi and a couple’s sedan, the eyewitness said, adding that he saw the occupants flee from their vehicles.
