HSBC Taiwan yesterday launched the world’s tallest Wealth Centre in the iconic Taipei 101 building. With a grand view from the top, this brand-new centre demonstrates HSBC Group’s resolve and commitment to continually invest in and develop Taiwan’s fast-growing wealth management market.
This high-end Wealth Centre is located on the 84th floor, the highest office floor of the world-famous Taipei 101. Relocated from the Dunnan Branch and renamed as 101 Branch, it has also been upgraded to become a Wealth Centre. In addition to adopting HSBC Group’s top-notch hardware and software facilities and decorations, the lobby presents a spacious and comfortable space with bright lighting in a modern design. In a relaxing environment, clients overlook the ultimate high-altitude scenery and enjoy HSBC’s tailor-made financial consulting services.
Kai Zhang, General Manager and Head of Wealth and Personal Banking for HSBC’s South and Southeast Asia, made a special trip to Taiwan to unveil this newly established 101 Branch. Zhang said, “We are committed to expanding our wealth business in Asia, with Taiwan playing an important role in this growth. Leveraging our global footprint and expertise across personal banking, wealth management and private banking, we are well positioned to serve our clients in Taiwan holistically, across all life stages and generations.”

Adam Chen, President of HSBC Bank (Taiwan) Limited, said “This year marks HSBC’s 40th anniversary since it opened the first full-service branch in Taiwan. Since late 2022, we have launched several Wealth Centres in major cities to better serve our clients. This 101 Branch is our sixth flagship Wealth Centre in Taiwan. 101 Branch demonstrates our determination to empower our clients to reach new heights of their wealth and life – at levels as tall as Taipei 101!”
As the world’s tallest Wealth Centre, HSBC Taiwan’s 101 Branch embeds the spirit of financial inclusion throughout its branch design and comprehensive services. The service counter is presented with two different heights to facilitate inquiries from wheelchair users. All the meeting rooms are equipped with hearing loops to support clients with hearing loss, as the system helps cut out background noise and make speech and sounds clear. In this uniquely designed environment, clients would be able to discuss in details with their dedicated relationship managers around wealth protection, children’s education, wealth growth, retirement and legacy planning.
As a market-leading international bank, HSBC Taiwan has received numerous recognitions at home and abroad. This year, it has won the “Wealth Banking Initiative of the Year – Taiwan” award from Asian Banking & Finance, “Best Private Bank in Taiwan” honor from Global Private Banker, and “Best Deposit Product in Taiwan” award from The Asian Banker, among others.
