Kosovo to hold parliamentary election

The UN mission appealed earlier this month to the Serbian government not "to hinder the Kosovo Serbs from participating in these elections."

Several independent Serb candidates who had registered for the elections have warned they would not participate because of "threats and intimidation," UN mission spokesman Alexander Ivanko said.
