She is already an elected politician, working in the town hall of a Paris suburb. While promoting an environmental agenda, she also wants to open her homeland, a founding member of the EU, to Europe by encouraging students to study abroad.
"It's impossible to spend a year in another country," she said, criticizing the competitive French education system where students focus on getting into the best universities from an early age and resist going abroad to learn languages.
