The Control Yuan yesterday publicized asset disclosure reports for 15 of the nation’s 25 county commissioners and city mayors.
The reports showed that Kinmen County Commissioner Lee Chu-feng (李炷烽) owns the most plots of land with 22, while Taoyuan County Commissioner Chu Li-lun (朱立倫) holds the most in securities, worth a total of NT$62.75 million.
The latest two issues of the public functionary assets disclosures (公職人員財產申報資料專刊) published by the Control Yuan include the assets status of the 15 county commissioners and city mayors.
The reports showed that Taipei County Commissioner Chou Hsi-wei (周錫瑋) and his wife own three plots of land and two houses, and have savings of about NT$3.73 million and securities worth NT$310,000. Chou also has a home mortgage of NT$6.1 million.
Ilan County Commissioner Lu Kuo-hua (呂國華) and his wife own four plots of land and houses and have savings of around NT$13.53 million and securities worth NT$1.79 million.
Reports showed that Chu and his wife own seven plots of land, four houses and have savings of around NT$17.38 million and securities worth NT$62.75 million. The couple also declared two watches worth NT$300,000 and NT$600,000 respectively. In addition, Chu has NT$20 million in a charity fund with a cooperative bank.
Yunlin County Commissioner Su Chih-fen (蘇治芬) and his wife own four plots of land, two houses and savings of NT$5.89 million while having a home mortgage of NT$18.2 million.
Kaohsiung County Commissioner Yang Chiu-hsing (楊秋興) and his wife own six plots of land, five houses and savings of around NT$8.46 million with securities worth NT$13.77 million, with a mortgage of NT$1.97 million.
Chiayi Mayor Huang Ming-hui (黃敏惠) and her husband declared three plots of land, five houses, savings of NT$1.15 million and securities worth NT$29.54 million, with a mortgage of NT$23.94 million.
US climber Alex Honnold is to attempt to scale Taipei 101 without a rope and harness in a live Netflix special on Jan. 24, the streaming platform announced on Wednesday. Starting on Jan. 1, YouBike riders must have insurance to use the service, and a six-month trial of NT$5 coupons under certain conditions would be implemented to balance bike shortages, a joint statement from transportation departments across Taipei, New Taipei City and Taoyuan announced yesterday. Temperatures are forecast to drop steadily as a continental cold air mass moves across Taiwan, with some areas also likely to see heavy rainfall, the Central Weather Administration (CWA) said. From today through early tomorrow, a cold air mass would keep temperatures low across central and northern Taiwan, and the eastern half of Taiwan proper, with isolated brief showers forecast along Keelung’s north coast, Taipei and New Taipei City’s mountainous areas and eastern Taiwan, it said.
