Chen's campaign headquarters spokesman Hsiao Yu-cheng (蕭裕正) and director Hong Chih-kun (洪智坤) will serve as director-general of the Department of Information and the mayor's chief secretary, respectively.
Hsu Chuan-sheng (許傳盛), deputy director of Chen's headquarters, will be in charge of the city's Bureau of Social Affairs, and Chen Wen-cheng (陳文成), deputy director of the Kaohsiung Election Commission, will be the director-general of the Civil Affairs Bureau.

President William Lai (賴清德) has appointed former vice president Chen Chien-jen (陳建仁) to attend the late Pope Francis’ funeral at the Vatican City on Saturday on his behalf, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said today.
