A high-level Chinese aviation delegation will arrive today at the invitation of the Taipei Airlines Association (TAS), officials of the association said yesterday. The delegation, comprised of more than 20 ranking aviation officials, will be led by Gao Hongfeng (高宏峰), deputy director of the Civil Aviation Administration of China. TAS officials did not reveal much about the visit, saying only that it will be a "friendly gathering." Gao's delegation will take part in a half-day seminar on civil aviation business management tomorrow. The TAS will host a dinner for Gao's delegation today, with the chairmen and presidents of the six air carriers participating. Civil Aeronautics Administration Director-General Billy Chang (張國政) is also expected to attend the dinner in his capacity as the president of the Chinese Society of Civil Aviation.
