Taiwan Quick Take: First lady leaves hospital

STAFF WRITER WITH CNA

First lady Wu Shu-jen (吳淑珍) was discharged from National Taiwan University Hospital yesterday morning, six days after she was admitted for a high fever. Hospital spokesman Lin He-hsiung (林鶴雄) said Wu's blood pressure, electrolytes and nutrition had improved, so she was able to return home. Wu left the hospital around 11:30am and headed directly to the Yushan Residence on Chongqing S Road. Wu checked into the hospital on Sept. 5 suffering from low blood pressure and breathing problems triggered by a flu-related cold. She reportedly was also suffering from poor nutrition.
