The Democratic Progressive Party's (DPP) Deputy Secretary-General Liao Pi-ying (廖碧英) will take over as president of the Bureau of Labor Insurance after former president Shih Che (史哲) left. DPP spokesman Tsai Huang-liang (蔡煌瑯), who is also the director of the DPP's Department of Culture and Information, will be promoted to DPP deputy secretary-general. The director of the DPP's Department of Social Development, Lin Yu-chang (林右昌), will take over as DPP Chairman Yu Shyi-kun's special assistant, as his predecessor Liu Chien-hsin (劉建忻) will now serve as deputy minister of the Research, Development and Evaluation Commission. The personnel reshuffle will be formally announced as soon as Yu comes back from Japan, according to a DPP official.
