Taiwan took third place in the just-concluded 2006 International Biology Olympiad, capturing three gold medals and one silver, the Ministry of Education announced yesterday. Of the four Taiwanese senior high school students participating in the annual academic competition held in Rio Cuarto, Argentina, three won gold medals and the only female participant took a silver.
